POSTER

i sold my poster add to gesso studios...the are not open regular hours though. they only open up for scheduled events and every time i tried to drop it off they were closed. i have made contact with the owner and we are working on figuring when her next appointment at the store it so i can drop it off. she is excited to see it! yay poster!

Concentrations Part 2

im still not 100% sure what i want to do for my concentration.
i am thinking that i want to do something with time...but i also really want to do encaustics and i dont know if i want to do time in encaustics. i am stressing about it and i know that i just need to make a decision. dahhh. i havent even started my concentration pieces.

Self Portrait

funny story...i havent started my self portrait. im starting to get a little stressed out about it. i cant seem to figure out what to do. i think i am going to end up doing a really boring one and then mrs mcbride will be mad. i am going to come up with something really creative by the time i get to class tomorrow...

Summer Art

This summer I took a class with Anderea Benson. She is and Encaustic and Mixed Media artist in Portland. She taught us how to do encaustics. I ended up really liking it. The wax was weird to work with at first because the flame would move it around. But i liked that it would make it more abstract. I really want to work with encaustics more and see how far I can take it. I think it would be really cool to work with encaustics as part of my concentration. I love the way Anderea is able to make people look realistic by using paper rather that carving everything. I'm looking forward to seeing where encaustics will take me!
